Otoplasty

Prominent ears are a common source of teasing for school age children and can be quite embarrassing. The movie "Dumbo the Elephant" may have helped kids realize that big ears can be associated with lots of success but unfortunately it also gave kids "the name" to call those who have prominent ears (often behind their backs).

Otoplasty corrects the prominent ears by rotating the cartilage back to the desired amount and removing excess cartilage if necessary. The procedure takes about 2 hours and recovery is 7-10 days.
