Laser Hair Removal

Dr. Hiatt was the first to bring Permanent Hair Removal (LHR) to the valley. By using the latest Diode Laser Technology, his patients are enjoying permanent hair reduction and are giving up waxing, tweezing, shaving, and electrolysis. The Diode Laser safely destroys the hair by producing a beam of highly concentrated light, which passes through the skin and targets only the hair, and hair follicle.

Hair grows in cycles. Each follicle grows hair for a period of time and then eventually it stops and falls out. The hair follicle rests before starting the cycle again. At any given time, one has hair in a variety of growth stages. The laser treats hair follicles only in their active growth phase, therefore more than one treatment is required. Most patients elect to have a minimum of three to four laser sessions, and some need and request more.

The length of a laser session may very from a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size of the area to be treated. A topical anesthetic is used to minimize the discomfort.
